Everyone dreams of being verified on Facebook. More seriously, as a business or Social Media Manager, you may have already thought about having your Facebook page certified with the famous blue badge.

Let’s take a look at the eligibility criteria. Facebook simply explains that “eligibility for the blue verification badge is based on different factors, such as account completeness, policy compliance and public interest.”
Do you think your page or account deserves its blue badge? Then follow the instruction below.
As long as your page is completely filled out, the verification process will only take a few minutes. If you haven’t entered a business phone number (either by choice or because you don’t have one), you can provide Facebook with documentation about your business. Previously the verification process was complex but recently Facebook made it easier.
Before embarking on the verification process, it is important that certain information is correctly filled out:
Ultimately, the more you complete the information on your page: description, history, address, the better chance of being verified you have.
Now you have to go to the Settings of your Facebook page. In General, below your page visibility and above visitors’ posts, you should see a line that says “Page Check”. Click on Edit to have your page verified.
Remember, the only way to get verified as a Facebook Page is to apply. If a person or a company offers its services to obtain a badge, run away, it is a scam!
The easiest way to verify your page will be through your phone number. As can be seen below, you just need to enter the number and wait for Facebook to call you. You will receive a call and a soft robotic voice will provide you with a four-digit code to enter into Facebook. Once done, you will receive your certification almost instantly. If you are an agency and you take care of the verification process for a client, you will need to enter their number and notify them of the process.
As can be seen above, Facebook requests a public phone number. Why? Facebook probably needs to check the numbers against local phone data or data from your website.
The other option, if you don’t want to use your phone number, is to have your business documents verified. This process is long and quite specific. Facebook requests specific documents to verify your page, here is a list of what that can be requested:
The documents must be delivered electronically, so make sure you have them on your computer in order to upload them to Facebook.
Once the necessary documents have been uploaded, Facebook will manually verify the information sent to ensure that it matches what is available to the general public. In the following days, you will receive a notification directly on Facebook or an email informing you that your page is verified or the procedure to follow to finalize the process.
To ensure that this method works, it is essential that the name of your business on your Facebook page matches the name on the documents sent.
Real active people will follow, comment and like your photos.
